Power
Together.
We’re San Diego’s Democratic Socialists of America chapter –
organizing workers, fighting for migrant rights, and building
a movement for the many, not the few.
We Are DSA San Diego
DSA San Diego is a chapter of the largest socialist organization in the United States. Our members are organizers, workers, students, and community members committed to winning real change — through direct action, electoral politics, and grassroots coalition-building.
San Diego is one of the most unique cities in California, but it doesn’t have to remain that way. As democratic socialists, we are building working class power to challenge the dominance of the ultra wealthy and the powerful in the county. Together, we focus to transform San Diego into a place where working people have the power in our democracy on every level of government to ensure that everyone can live a dignified life.
If you want to build a better world, join us!

If We Burn Book Club (Session 2)
Torque Coffee, 3459 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104, USAJoin us to discuss Chapters 2-6, Pages 31-97 of If We Burn by Vincent Bevins at Torque Coffee.
The If We Burn Reading Group, hosted by San Diego DSA, will read and discuss Vincent Bevins’ new book in an online/in-person setting in March and April 2026. The group will reflect on the mass protest movements of the 2010s -seeking to understand their origins, evaluate their results, and debate what socialists in the USA can learn from the past cycle of struggle. The group will meet mostly in-person at San Diego library locations and will host social meet ups to get to know each other better. More importantly, the San Diego DSA will identify what makes our movement/organization different or similar to the mass protests/groups of the missing decade that failed and theorize what DSA can do within the current moment of American politics in order to achieve our goals.

Priority Campaigns
PRIORITY CAMPAIGN
People Over Papers Priority
DSA San Diego is launching the “People Over Papers” campaign to combat federal immigration enforcement through political pressure, community patrols, and workplace organizing, viewing these efforts as a defense against white supremacist policies. The campaign will prioritize member safety through trained, methodical participation in these high-risk activities.
PRIORITY CAMPAIGN
Elections Priority
We are prioritizing the 2026 elections as a key opportunity to build socialist power, adopting an affordability-focused agenda modeled on successful campaigns from other major chapters. The chapter will coordinate this effort through its Electoral Working Group, involving all branches and working groups in activities like candidate support, union outreach, and membership recruitment, with the ultimate goal of establishing a “Socialists in Office” program.
